Coptic Variations. ** A two-day class
There are many ways to stitch, attach covers, and decorate the open spine of a Coptic style book. We will make three variations of this style—the basic single needle Coptic, a multi needle version with a braided look to the stitch, and a multi-needle chain stitch. Each book will have a different board attachment, one will have a decorative headband and the third beads sewn into the stitch. To finish our project, we will make a simple board slipcase to house our three books.
