Green Heron Book Arts is store and learning center that preserves and explores the art of hand made books, print making, paper making and other paper arts located in the heart of Forest Grove, Oregon.
Patricia first purchased the building in 1988 with the intention of continuing to rent out the store front and convert the back into a studio. In 1995 she decided to remodel the store front section of the building and open a book and paper arts supply store. She could then offer classes in the back studio. In 2020 her daughter Laura remolded the center storage area into her ceramic studio. Laura now helps run the retail side of the business.

We are also active in our community of Forest Grove throughout the year. The store offers several free events, such as Print Day in May where people can try their hand at making an art print. We also set up our tent every First Wednesday in June, July, and August for free Make-and-Takes. During the ‘Holiday in the Grove’ in December, Green Heron Books Arts provides a special children’s art activity. For more information about these events go to our Events page.
